533 Ways That Product Reviews Can Improve Your Bottom Line
Product Review sites can be a very powerful marketing tool. This is true for a number of factors. In this article we will only address the first 3 ways.
1. People love to buy but hate to be sold. A product review that is properly structured will show the good and the bad. It will not be salesy but a review of the pluses and minuses of a particular product.
With out the selling people can make up their own mind and you aren't a salesman but a friend helping with a decision. (A very powerful method.)
2. They allow you to build up a relationship with people. One of my favorite authors is Jeffrey Gitomer. Now this isn't an exact quote but one of his big things is that "All things being equal people do business with people they like. All things not being equal people STILL do business with people they like."
An honest review site will allow people to start to know and trust you. That will allow you to move into the "people they like" category.
3. Sometimes you will find that the products you don't like will sell as much as the products you do. This seems funny but if you look at the underlying factors even a product that doesn't fit your business but has been honestly reviewed can be right for someone elses business.
They buy it because they are already aware of the negatives but the positives for THEIR business may outweigh the negatives you found.
Keep these 3 things in mind when considering adding a product review site to your marketing plan and you may be extremely surprised at how effective they can be.
